Update – June 7, 2020
After much careful thought and evaluation of the current Covid 19 situation, keeping at the forefront the health and safety of all players, parents, coaches, umpires and community members, the Executive of the Dunwich Dutton Softball Association has decided to cancel all activities for the current 2020 season.
We will be offering a full refund to all paid registered players.
This may be completed by e-transfer (preferable) but cheques can be mailed.
Volunteer fee postdated cheque will be either shredded or returned as you wish.
We are also giving the option of leaving the registration fee with the Association and it will be transferred to our 2021 season.
Please email us (ddsoftballa@gmail.com) to confirm a full refund or deferring of fees until 2021 and directive regarding your volunteer fee. To save time and to get your registration fee back to you asap please include in the e-mail (if you are choosing this option) your name and the PLAYERS name.
** Refunds will only be issued to the person who completed the registration. **
Please stay safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing everyone for the 2021 season.
Update – May 21, 2020
In the interest of the health and safety of all players, parents and community members all baseball activities continue to be on hold until June 2, 2020, as the State of Emergency has been extended by the Province of Ontario.
We will be guided at that time by a directive from Softball Canada and Softball Ontario.
We will also be in contact with the local Municipalities along with Local Health Unit to determine what we will be doing with our baseball season.
Information will be posted on our website and Facebook, as well all players registered will be contacted once a decision is made by our Association.
Keep safe and healthy,
Lynda Drummelsmith
Pres. Dunwich Dutton Softball Association
In response to Covid 19 – March 16, 2020
Good afternoon everyone.
With many concerns regarding Covid 19 we are letting everyone know:
- that as of right now the 2020 season is still being planned.
- If this changes we will let everyone know.
- We are still accepting registrations and if the season is cancelled we will refund everyone.
- Additionally, we will not be scheduling indoor training sessions or practices at this time.
- This will be monitored going forward in accordance with public health recommendations.
- We will keep you informed.
*** If you have registered for any external training (i.e., coaching clinics or pitching clinics) please check with the organization running them to see if they are still happening. ***
